A is for Affirmations

Happy April Fools' Day! Today is day one of the month long A-Z Blogging Challenge. No foolin'!

I'd been racking my brain for a theme for the challenge, and unless having my blog titles in alphabetical order counted as a theme, I kept coming up empty-handed.

Until this morning, that is. I found the word that spoke to my heart.

During the month of April, I am going to focus on the second definition of the word affirmation: "emotional support or encouragement." In January my focus word for the year was INTENTIONAL, and I want my theme to be a daily encouragement to be intentional. What better way than to have a focus word and a visual image each day to help us live our lives with intention?

I hope you will find emotional support and encouragement here during the coming weeks with the words and photographs I choose.

What words speak to you that give you a lift or boost your spirits? I would love to know your favorites. There are so many wonderful words from which to choose; I'm looking forward to the challenge.

Several of my friends are doing the blogging challenge with me. We have quite a variety in our group. If you enjoy intelligent, witty, thought-provoking writing, trust me; you'll love the way these powerful women write.

  5. The word "support" means a lot to me. I suffer from chronic pain, and having the emotional, physical, and spiritual support of others is what keeps me going.
    Thanks for the visit today!

  8. Ooh, I love this series you are doing, everything from the intentionality of it to how it manifests and I love the little blog roll links at the end--I'm going to retrofit my blog and copy you on this one. I love your series for the A to Z. Feels like a respite from it all.
